| What is Orientation? | |
|
You are getting ready to partake in a new chapter in your life. It may be the most challenging, exciting, entertaining, and most interesting years of your life. You will have the opportunity to meet new people, face challenges, try new things, get involved, and continue to develop into the person you want to become. The first thing on your agenda- Orientation! What is orientation? It is a program that helps new student become acquainted with our campus, meet new friends, and make smoother transitions into college life. Orientation is organized for Freshman, Transfer, Gateway, Corrick Center, Non-Traditional Students. You will meet peers, upperclassmen, faculty, and staff of MSUM. This day has been planned JUST FOR YOU! Throughout Orientation, Student Orientation Counselors (AKA- SOCs) contribute to the new, fun, crazy environment of MSUM. They are here to assist you with any needs whether it is information, direction, fun, laughs, or helping you sort through things while at Orientation. Each of the SOCs has been in your shoes. They were all new to this campus; they made new friends, got involved, and it led them to you! They want to share their college experiences with you and make it an exciting chapter of your life. Welcome to the Dragon Family! We are so anxious for you to arrive. See you at Orientation! The Orientation Staff For more information on Orientation, events, and affiliations please contact: |
