Please welcome Anna, our new Choir Director
Anna Goodin-Hayes, a native of Moorhead, MN, earned a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Art History from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN. She recently completed a Master’s in Sacred Music with an emphasis in piano performance from the University of Kentucky in Lexington.
Upon moving back to Moorhead in the summer of 2006 with her husband, Justin Hayes, she accepted the position as director of the St. Joseph’s Adult Choir, Spirit Choir, and Handbell Choir. As part of her continued study of music and music in the church, Anna has taken conducting classes from Dr. Rene Clausen at Concordia College and attended a liturgical music conference at St. John’s University in Collegeville.
This Fall, she also plans to take organ lessons with Dr. Kim Kasling at St. John’s University. In addition to her keyboard studies, Anna plays viola in the Fargo-Moorhead Symphony and teaches violin and viola lessons.
