From Carnegie Hall, to the
Salzburg Festspielhaus, to Royal Albert Hall, to Africa,
internationally acclaimed soprano Robin Allebach has graced some of the world's
most renowned musical stages. A 2008 concert
tour of Italy
brought audiences to their feet with her
soul inspiring renditions of American
spirituals. Of her sassy Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus with Elgin Opera, the
Romanelli Review wrote, "...A voice such as hers is not learned but
bestowed". As a sought after singer
and performer, she has also appeared in
performances with Lyric Opera of Chicago, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Chicago
Opera Theater, Grant Park Symphony, the Chicago Reading Orchestra, the German
Language Society of Chicago, Milwaukee Opera, Sparling Theatrical Productions, Didier
LePauw's Parisian Salon Concerts , Chanticleer Opera Theater, Bowen Park Opera
Company, Chicago Celebrating Chopin, the Beverly Foundation for the Performing
Arts, Alliance Francais, Bluffton Choral Society, the Zimriya Fest (Israel),
the Europa Cantat (Switzerland), and has appeared in recital in Bangui,
Zaire.With numerous Chicago Symphony
Orchestra and Chorus recordings to her credit, including Barber's The Lovers; The Prayers of Kierkegaard with
conductor Andrew Schenck, Ms Allebach was personally selected by the late Sir
Georg Solti to sing in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's Grammy award winning
recording of the Bach B Minor Mass. She has also
sung under conductors Daniel Barenboim, Zubin Mehta, Leonard Slatkin, James
Levine, James Conlon, Michael Tilson Thomas, John Nelson, Nicholas McGegan,
Bruno Bartoletti and Claudio Abbado and Nicholas McGegan. She holds degrees in music from Northwestern University,
Depaul University
and Bemidji State University. She is a member of the American Guild of
Musical Artists, Academy
of Recording Arts and
Sciences, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing.
