Music Department

Janelle Halverson joined the MSUM faculty in 2005 where she teaches the music education course for elementary majors. In addition, she has taught elementary music in the Moorhead School District for the past 11 years. Janelle is an active member of the Northern Plains Kodaly Chapter.

Janelle is a native of Wisconsin. She completed her Master’s degree through the University of St. Thomas in 2004. Her final project included listening units on the opera “Magic Flute” and a webquest on the opera “The Barber of Seville”. Her music degree was completed at MSUM and a Bachelor’s degree in elementary education was completed at Concordia College.
