Dr. Charles E. Ruzicka


Dr. Charles E. Ruzicka is Professor Emeritus of Choral Music at Minnesota State University Moorhead where he taught from 1993-2005. He currently teaches applied voice within the vocal studio. He earned an M.A. degree in choral music from the University of North Dakota and a D.M.A. in choral conducting from the University of Iowa.


Dr. Ruzicka is also a composer and arranger currently published with Mark Foster Music, Tetra/Continuo Music Group, Coronet Press, Alliance Publishers and Walton Music Corporation. As a professional singer, he toured with the Norman Luboff Choir as a chorister/soloist. He is a past-president for the North Dakota American Choral Director's Association.


Dr. Ruzicka has conducted choral festivals and clinics in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Montana. He has taught choral music at public schools in North Dakota and Iowa, and at universities in North Dakota, Minnesota, South Dakota, and Iowa.


He is a recipient of the 2002 Marquis Who's Who In America award.  The selection is made for outstanding achievements in the recipient's profession.  Ruzicka's biographical profile has appeared in the 57th Edition of "Who's Who in America."
