The LIT Center
The Library Instruction/Instructional Technology (LIT) Center is a hands-on,
electronic classroom funded by a MnSCU Electronic Academy Initiative Grant, as well as a
Moorhead State Strategic Initiatives Grant. Located on the second floor of Livingston Lord
Library, Room 222, the LIT Center accommodates 40 students (two per workstation). The LIT
Center is equipped with:
- 26 computer workstations
- Instructor workstation with Proxima projector system
- SMARTBoard
- 1 drop-down projection screen
- 1 laser printer
- Overhead projector
All workstations have Zip-drives and are connected to various Moorhead State University
campus network databases, including the WebPALS Online Catalog, WebPALS Periodicals
Databases, WinSPIRS databases covering several subject areas (PsycLIT, Sociological
Abstracts, Current Contents), and Internet access using Netscape Navigator and Internet
Explorer. Microsoft Office products, along with other software, are also loaded on the 26
machines.
The LIT Center is for use of Tri-College students, faculty, and staff. You may be
asked to present your Tri-College identification card. Please consult the LIT Center
