MEDLINE is National Library of Medicine's premier bibliographic database covering the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, and the preclinical sciences. MEDLINE contains all citations published in Index Medicus.   Citations include the English abstract when published with the article (approximately 76% of the current file). PsycINFO (formerly PsycLIT)

PsycINFO is the online equivalent of Psychological Abstracts, indexing the journal literature of psychology and related fields. Since 1987 includes chapters of books.  Uses the Thesaurus of Psychological Index Terms, which is available on the Index shelves, or online via the “Thesaurus” button in PsycINFO.  Available through the library web site.

Sociological Abstracts (Formerly Sociofile)

Latest research sponsored in sociology and related disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences, and is updated monthly.  The database draws information from an international selection of over 2,600 journals and other serials publications, plus conference papers, books, and dissertations. [Easiest to access via MSUM Library Web Site -- http://www.mnstate.edu/library -- then click on "Electronic Databases" - drop down menu.]

Social Services Abstracts
