You can find book reviews using the following electronic databases:

• Professional Collection - Gale
• Project Muse -- Search full-text scholarly journal articles in the humanities. Many book reviews included.
• JSTOR -- Search back issues of journals (dating back to the 1800's!)
• FirstSearch -- Try Book Review Index

You can also find book reviews using the following three book review sources located in the Library's Reference Collection. These will lead you to book reviews in magazines and newspapers, many of which we own in our library:

• Book Review Index. 1965-2002.  REF. Z1035.A1 B6  (located at the end of the Reference collection)

Biographical Information on Authors

Try searching in WebPALS for your author, and add the word "biography" to your search.
