    You should live in this community if you are a declared Film Studies or Film Production major.

    The community is for those students majoring in Film Studies or Film Production. You will take the foundational level film courses, introducing students to mise-en-scene, cinematography, sound, and editing. Under the guidance of award-winning faculty, these skills are developed through challenging hands-on projects, critical analysis, and creative problem solving.

    As a member of the community, you will...

    • live with other students who have declared film as a major.
    • take three classes with students who live on your floor.
    • have a Dragon Mentor dedicated to providing you with various opportunities for career exploration and support.
    • be exposed to career options that can be attained with a film degree.
    • have the convenience of organizing meeting times for group projects since you live on the same floor.
    • have the opportunity to attend film screenings with faculty members on campus and within the community

    Required Common Courses:

    • 001851-FILM 100 Technical Training: Video Production (1 credit). This course meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00am - 10:40am and is instructed by Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson.
    • 001852-FILM 172 Video Production (3 credits). This course meets Mondays and Wednesdays from 9:00am - 10:40am and is instructed by Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson.
    • 001853-FILM 281 Film Appreciation (3 credits). This course meets on Tuesdays from 1:30pm - 2:45pm and is instructed by Anthony Adah.
    • 001854-FILM 281S Studio in Film Appreciation (1 credit). This course meets Thursdays from 1:30pm - 4:15pm and is instructed by Anthony Adah.
    • 001097-HUM 101 Humanities Through the Arts (3 credits) fulfills Goal 6. This course meets Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 11:00am - 11:50am and is instructed by Konrad Czynski.
