    You should live in this community if you have declared General Studies as a major.

    This community helps students within the area of General Studies discover their strengths and passions. Gain knowledge and assistance to help select a major that best fits your talents and aspirations.

    As a member of the community, you will...

    • live with other students who have declared General Studies as a major and are exploring how their interests can lead to a career.
    • take three classes with students who live on your floor.
    • take career/life planning course instructed by a faculty member who has worked closely with students who are still exploring their options.
    • have a Dragon Mentor dedicated to providing you with various opportunities for career exploration and support.
    • be exposed to career options that can be attained through the various majors offered.

    Required Common Courses:

     

    • 001416-UNIV 131 Career/Life Planning I (1 credit). This course meets on Tuesday from 3:00pm - 3:50pm and is instructed by Deborah Seaburg.
    • 001233-CMST 100 Speech Communication (3 credits) fulfills Goal 1. This course meets Monday and Wednesday from 1:00pm - 1:50pm and is taught by Jason Anderson.
    • 001486-PHIL 110 Practical Reasoning (3 credits) fulfills Goal 2. This course meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:00am - 11:50am. This course is instructed by Laura Odom and is a hybrid course.
