Kerry Plath
B.A. in Spanish Education, 2006
Volunteer: TEFL Instructor, Peace Corps, Gostivar, Macedonia
Being a Peace Corps Volunteer is an every day, all day job. My primary duty is to collaborate with local English teachers by bringing new methods and ideas to the classroom to make learning meaningful and enjoyable. Outside of school I teach adult English classes, mentor and lead boys and girls clubs, work as a summer instructor at boys and girls leadership camps, organize local events, learn three languages, and interact with community members. Flexibility, an open mind, and a sense of adventure are necessary as a volunteer since everyday brings unexpected challenges and rewards.

The variety is great!
