Jubilee was born on the first day in July.  In Canada that's Dominion Day.  Hence, her registered name was Mag-Beau's Dominion Jubilee.   A dog's birthday is as good an excuse to have a party as any other.  We invite friends and their pets, and I bake a normal cake for the two-legged guests and a meatloaf-like cake for the four-legged guests.  Someone brought this big, beef bone for the birthday girl (1991).  It was so heavy that she could barely hold up her head!  If you look closely, you can see the corners of her mouth turned up as if she was smiling.  :-)
