LOCAL TALENT SOUGHT FOR MSU'S 4TH OF JULY EVENT Moorhead, MN....Moorhead State University is looking for local talent to perform at its Old-Fashioned Fourth of July celebration.

The event, in its 17th season, will feature continuous family entertainment from 1 to 5 p.m. on the campus mall.

Musicians, singers, dancers and other performers who are interested in volunteering their talents should contact Ron Matthies at MSU's university relations office, 236-3287.

Because of construction taking place on the campus mall--landscaping, sidewalk replacement, new sewer and water--the celebration will be held on less space than usual. "We'll be using that land that we haven't used before," said MSU's 4th of July celebration director Ron Matthies. "Other than that, everything will be the same."
