Information Technology

Les is the Director of the Information Technology Department and has many tasks at hand.  He is also the Veteran's Benefits Administrator on campus.

Jeanne works with computer labs on campus serving as liaison with faculty and supervising lab assistants.  She also manages software licensing for university desktop/laptop computers, recommends and quotes computer hardware and peripherals, and coordinates campus training put on by the Information Technology Department.

Craig and Marc Holland share the campus computer problems.  Craig works on Windows computers and all the labs on campus.  Craig can also help if you are having problems printing to the network.

Jay is the rookie onboard. Jay’s main priority on campus is to Administer the Windows computer labs, and the Windows side of the dual boot Mac labs and computers. Along with the rest of the IT crew, he helps to manage all aspects of the Technical Support Department here at MSUM. If there are ever any problems with the labs, computer hardware, software, or anything even remotely related to some type of something or other, go ahead and give him a call!

Curt is responsible for email, list serves and mass mailing. He also maintains user accounts and assists students with IT questions.

Deona does the day to day office work and assists with the Veteran's Benefits.  She also coordinates and schedules computer labs.

JoDee is the Lead Web Applications Developer and SQLServer Database Administrator at MSUM.  JoDee can help you with: Web applications development using PHP, Database design and management, SAVVY, Frontpage, SQL, and Access.

Marc's primary responsibilities are management of the campus Novell network, the network printing environment, and the tape backup system (which backs up Linux, Mac, Novell & Linux servers). He also assists in maintaining the Microsoft Windows and Linux servers, and helps with troubleshooting computer and network problems in faculty and staff offices and labs.

Bryan is responsible for maintaining the Unix systems
used for e-mail and student programming. He manages DragonMail, Calendar and Student Web servers. He assists with network and computer security related problems.

Adam does cabling for the computer network and phone installations. Adam troubleshoots campus printer, computer and phone problems.

Shane trouble shoots the campus computer problems along with Jay Discher.  Shane works on Windows computers and all the labs on campus.

Greg compiles requested data for customers (everyone on campus) and prints labels and lists for them.  He runs the test and evaluation scantron.

Bill configures and manages the Macintosh computers on campus for faculty and staff and facilitates repairs for Macs in or out of warranty (University-owned equipment only). He also manages all the Macintosh labs on campus and manages the security and updates on these systems. In the dual boot Mac labs, he works with Jay Discher who manages the Windows side of these machines. Bill is also the Systems Administrator for the MHDMAC File Server, Dragon Media Archive Server, KMSC Radio's Streaming Server, the CSIS Mac Server, Education's Mac Server, the Mac Lab Management Server and also manages the Apple Xsan SAN storage network that provides storage to these various servers.

Lastly, Bill assists Mac using Students with various hardware, software, or wireless questions when the need arises.

Amanda is the campus web designer and developer.  Amanda can help you with web design using, SAVVY, FrontPage, DreamWeaver, Photoshop, FireWorks, etc.  She is also the Dragon Card Manager assisting customers with student and employee ids. Her other duties include administering EMS Scheduling and Web Account creation.

If it's broke, Jim fixes it. Jim troubleshoots campus computer and phone problems.  He works on hardware repair, monitors, CD drivers, floppy drives, printers, etc.  Jim also does cabling for the computer network and phone installations.
