Senior Project Thesis
What is involved in the Senior Project?
INTL 450 requires completion of a senior thesis. This is designed to be a capstone experience that ideally integrates your previous coursework with the international experience (INTL 400). It should reflect a topic that interests you and in which you are prepared to invest a considerable amount of thought. The intent is to have you make some independent contribution to the field of international studies. Your topic should be selected in consultation with your advisor to ensure that it is viable. After you and your advisor agree on the topic you should begin preparing a proposal. The proposal should summarize what you intend to study, how you will conduct the study (i.e., methods) and include a preliminary bibliography of resources you will be consulting. This proposal will be shared with the members of the International Studies Program Committee who will provide feedback. Students who are currently enrolled for INTL 450 will shortly be receiving a set of deadlines for the submission of the project proposal and the project itself.
