How else can I get involved?
MSUM offers a variety of activities to enhance your understanding of the world.

  • The Model United Nations provides students with a first-hand opportunity to participate in international relations. It enhances students' understanding of the complex issues that United Nations addresses and helps them to appreciate the difficulties that surround multi-lateral diplomacy.  Each spring, the Model UN team demonstrates their diplomatic skills in a regional competition with other universities and colleges.
  • Support International is a student organization that works to support underprivileged communities from developing countries with resources, services and sustainable community-based projects that will improve living standards. They sponsor numerous activities during the year to fulfill their mission.
  • A variety of Culture and Language clubs on campus enhance students' language development and cultural understanding. They include the Spanish Club, Chinese Club, Slavic Culture Club and the Japan Club.
  • The MSUM Student Academic Conference, held each April, provides a unique opportunity for students to present papers or posters on their research, sharing their experiences with their peers.
  • The Office of International Programs coordinates a number of study abroad programs that are available to MSUM students.
