Minnesota State University Moorhead is nationally accredited and offers many degree programs at both the undergraduate and Masters level.  Approximately 295 international students, representing over 46 countries, call MSUM home.  MSUM welcomes international students by offering in-state tuition for all international students.

Moorhead is located on the northwest border of Minnesota, across the Red River from Fargo, North Dakota.  The Fargo-Moorhead community is the largest metropolitan area between Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota and Spokane, Washington, and was named an "All-American" city.  The population of the FM area is 174,367 (2000 US Census).

Minnesota State University Moorhead has partnered with Concordia College (Moorhead, MN) and North Dakota State University (Fargo, North Dakota) and formed Tri-College University.  Through this partnership, students enrolled at MSUM can take classes at Concordia College or North Dakota State University at no additional charge AND without going through any additional admission paperwork.
