Eurospring (Multi-country, Europe)

For more than 25 years, Eurospring has been the signature program of MSUM study abroad.  Running from mid-March to mid-May every spring, students spend five weeks studying at Wycliffe Hall in Oxford, England, before a three-week tour of the European continent.  Stops usually include Paris, Rome, Florence, Venice, Prague and Amsterdam, with other cities rotating from year to year.  Sophomores and up with a GPA of 2.25 or higher are invited to apply.  Space is limited to 32 students per year for this 12-credit program that focuses on British history and European culture. Portsmouth (UK)

Students in business, international business, and the social sciences with at least junior standing are eligible to spend one semester or one year studying at the University of Portsmouth, on England's southern coast.  A one-for-one exchange means that students pay MSUM tuition while earning up to 32 credits abroad.  Applicants should have a minimum 2.75 GPA at the time of application. More Information  http://www.port.ac.uk/

Keele (UK)

Keele University, nestled in the English midlands (between Liverpool and Birmingham), offers students a wide range of majors in which to study for one semester or an entire year.  A one-for-one exchange means students pay MSUM tuition.  The Keele exchange is limited to three students per year, depending on exchange balance.Applicants should hold at least junior standing, with a GPA of 2.75 or higher. More Information http://www.keele.ac.uk/

Lincoln (UK)

Students in Mass Communications have the opportunity to spend Spring semester at Lincoln University, located in northeast England.  A one-for-one exchange means students pay MSUM tuition.  These programs are limited to three MSUM students per year, and applicants should hold junior standing with at least a 2.75 GPA. More Information http://www.lincoln.ac.uk/home/ and http://www.lincoln.ac.uk/hsad/

Oxford (UK)

MSUM students have the option to spend a semester or year studying art, literature, history, philosophy, languages and other humanities at the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies in Oxford, England. Hedmark (Norway)

Hedmark University College, dispersed across six campuses in southeast Norway, offers a variety of English-speaking courses in business, science and Norwegian studies, with more courses and disciplines added each year.  Of particular interest is Hedmark's International Semester in Physical Education, a program built specifically for prospective PhyEd instructors, or anyone who seeks to experience a semester filled with outdoor activities.  While no strict guidelines apply, applicants should hold sophomore status or higher, with a GPA of 2.5 or greater.  http://www.hihm.no/

Nankai (China)

Ideal for East Asian Studies majors, Nankai University is located in Tianjin, one of China's largest and most cosmopolitan cities.  Students may spend a year or a semester at Nankai, earning 12 credits per semester in Chinese language and culture.  Because of the direct-enrollment nature of this program, tuition and fees are paid to Nankai, and total costs are currently less than MSUM's tuition, making this program one of our most affordable. Kanda (Japan)

MSUM students can study at Kanda University for International Studies, located near Tokyo in Japan's Chiba prefecture.  The 10-month intensive Japanese language program allows MSUM students to study at KUIS while paying regular MSUM tuition.  Students should have previous knowledge of the Japanese language before applying to this program. Nagoya (Japan)

Located in Nagoya, Japan's fourth largest city, the Institute for Japanese Studies allows MSUM students the opportunity to study Japanese language and culture at one of five proficiency levels.  Students pay regular MSUM tuition for this intensive Japanese language and culture program, located two hours west of Tokyo.  Student should have previous knowledge of the Japanese language before applying to this program and must have completed two years at MSUM by the time of exchange. Kanto Gakuin (Japan)

Located in Yokohama, immediately south of Tokyo, Kanto Gakuin has programs in intensive Japanese language and culture.  Students pay MSUM tuition for this program, which is ideal for East Asian Studies majors.  Applicants should have previous knowledge of the Japanese language before applying and must have completed two years fo study at MSUM by the time of exchange.  http://www.kanto-gakuin.ac.jp/

Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University (Japan)

Students may study at APU, Beppu, Japan for a semester or a year. This exchange may be an excellent opportunity for students who require a study abroad experience, where they are not concentrating solely on language acquisition, as many courses are taught in English. However, students would be expected to take a Japanese language course in addition to their other courses. Students need a 2.5 GPA http://www.apu.ac.jp/home/

Chung-Ang (Korea)

Spend a year or a semester at Chung-Ang University in Seoul, South Korea, one of Asia's largest cities.  MSUM students can enroll in over 100 courses taught strictly in English, or take Korean language and culture courses, taught in both Korean and English.To encourage interaction with Koreans, MSUM students may be nominated to receive free accommodations and to be given an internship opportunity for teaching English to high school or CAU students on campus. The paid internship will average a twlve-hour-per-week workload. MSUM students may also have the opportunity to work as an English tutor at the English lounge on the CAU campus. While no strict guidelines apply, applicants should hold sophomore status or higher with at least a 2.5 GPA.  http://www.cau.ac.kr/english/

Ming Chuan University (Taiwan)

Study Mandarin language or take courses taught in English on one of two campuses in Taiwan (Taoyuan or Taipei). English courses include international business and management; journalism and mass communications applied information technology; travel and tourism; teaching Chinese as a second language. Sunshine Coast (Australia)

Located some 45 miles north of Brisbane on Australia's eastern coast, the University of the Sunshine Coast gives MSUM students an affordable option for study abroad Down Under.  While not a true exchange, MSUM's USC program is substantially less expensive than most programs in Australia. Students can spend either Fall (July – Nov), Spring (Feb – June), or an entire year at USC.  Applicants should hold at least sophomore status with a minimum 2.5 GPA or higher. More Information http://www.usc.edu.au/

Cuernavaca (Mexico)

Pay MSUM tuition, room and board while spending a semester studying language and culture at Universidad International (UNINTER) in Cuernavaca, just south of Mexico City.  Limited to one student per year, this exchange features flexible application deadlines and GPA requirements. It is recommended that applicants have completed at least four semesters of Spanish language at the time of the program, or have an equivalent level of speaking ability.  MSUM also runs a faculty-led, six-week cultural immersion program at UNINTER every May/June, open to as many as 20 students per year.  http://www.uninter.edu.mx/

Pontificia Universidad Catolica del Ecuador (PUCE)

Spanish language students have an opportunity for exchange in Quito, Ecuador, paying tuition, fees, room and board at home and exchange places with an Ecuadorian student attending MSUM. Students will live with carefully selected host families. Placement is limited to one or two students per year.http://www.uninter.edu.mx/

Manitoba (Canada)

Located just 220 miles north of Fargo/Moorhead on the Red River, the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg is a great place to study abroad without going too far from home.  Two MSUM students per year can study at UM while paying MSUM tuition, with a wide range of majors to choose from.  Applicants should hold at least sophomore status with a GPA of 2.5 or higher.  http://www.umanitoba.ca/
