12. GOVERNMENT DOCUMENTS/MAPS
12.1 Selection and Organization
Livingston Lord Library will maintain a collection of government documents and maps. The government documents portion of the collection will consist of selected United States publications, which are chosen in accordance with and subject to depository or other library regulations, and Minnesota documents, which are distributed on a depository basis by the State of Minnesota. The map portion of the collection will consist of Federal and State produced maps which are received through their respective depository systems, maps purchased in support of curriculum requirements, maps received as part of periodical subscriptions, and other cartographic materials such as atlases and indexing tools. The entire collection will be organized and accessible to the public consistent with the circulation policies and procedures of the library.
12.2 Reference Assistance
The Government Documents/Reference Librarian will provide specialized instruction and reference assistance to the collection.
