- Establishing library/audiovisual services policies.
- Identifying library/audiovisual services program priorities.
- Establishing criteria for decision making in library/ audiovisual services areas, such as the selection of personnel selection and circulation of materials and equipment, and technical processing.
- Developing the library/audiovisual services budget in consultation with faculty and administration.
- Supervising library/audiovisual services personnel.
- Developing functional specifications for new library/ audiovisual services facilities in consultation with institutional and system representation.
- Establishing and maintaining library/audiovisual services access and delivery systems.
