16. PURCHASE OF EQUIPMENT
All audiovisual equipment including equipment which becomes available as a result of grants or proposals, shall be ordered by the AV Center after budgetary approval and consultation with university personnel requesting the equipment. Audiovisual equipment which becomes available as a result of grants and proposals shall be reserved for purposes of the project until the termination of the grant, at which time the need for the equipment shall be reevaluated in consultation with the recipient of the grant and in the light of institutional need. All equipment so ordered shall be received, inventoried, and distributed by the Audiovisual Center.
16.1 Fixed Equipment
Fixed equipment will be purchased and installed only after consultation by the requesting department with the AV Coordinator and the Instructional Communications supervisor to insure adequate concern for design, educational application, and technical consideration.
