You will not be able to use Wimba after Fall semester as MSU Moorhead's license expires at the end of December 2014. If you have plans to use a synchronous web conferencing tool in your course, we advise you to consider using WebEx. Contact ITS at firstname.lastname@example.org or 218-477-2603218-477-2603 (option 3) for more information.
Wimba is a web conferencing system that allows you to hold
online meetings. Instructors and students can interact
online with audio, video, chat, content display, and screen
sharing. As an instructor, you can upload a PowerPoint
presentation, create online polls, and draw on the e-board to
conduct a live session using this virtual classroom environment.
You can also allow students to present to you or each other.
Run the Wimba Setup Wizard to make sure your computer is ready.
Add the Java Exception Setting (if you receive an error when logging in).

We are not accepting new Wimba room requests as we transition from Wimba to WebEx as our web conferencing tool.If you need a synchronous web conferencing solution for your course, please send an e-mail to email@example.com with your request.
Due to the low number of instructors using Wimba for Fall 2014, you will not be required to reserve a number of seats for a specific day and time. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org if the number of participants in your session nears 100 so we can be certain there are no other sessions planned during that time.
