What is Moodle?


 

Moodle
is a course management system designed to help educators who want to create quality online courses. The software is used all over the world by universities, schools, companies and independent teachers. Moodle is open source and completely free to use. It can scale from a single-teacher site to a 50,000-student University.

Step 1 (EVERYONE): Request a login to our Moodle services:

Step 2 (FACULTY ONLY) : Request a Moodle Course Shell

  • Go to http://collaborate.mnstate.edu/integrate
  • If you've never requested a Moodle course before, choose "New User" and complete the information that's requested.

    Otherwise, complete the information under "Returning Users" and follow the directions to request the Moodle courses you'd like to have created.

Step 3 (EVERYONE): Login to Moodle:

 

    • Go to http://teach.mnstate.edu
    • Enter your username (your 8 digit DragonID)
                                         Lookup your DragonID
    • Enter your password ( If you have forgotten your password, go to draco.mnstate.edu(there is no www.), enter your dragon ID and your E-services Pin number, select "view" next to "moodlelogin" underneath "Services You have already configured", then select "change password" to update your password. You do not need your old password to complete this process. If "moodlelogin" is not located under "Services You have already configured", you will need to add it to acess Moodle. )
