Getting Started:
The first step is to fill out the online Account Request form to use Turnitin @ MSUM. After receiving your department account ID and join password from Turnitin @ MSUM, create your personal user profile. The create a user profile is located in the upper right corner of the Turnitin.com web site. The new user wizard will open and walk you through the profile creation process. The second step is to create a class(s) account. You will need to distribute the class enrollment ID and password to your students so they can join your class. The third step is to create an assignment(s) for the class. You may want to create more than one assignment category for a class (e.g. Research Paper Draft, Final Research Paper).

Recommended Language for Course Syllabi:  

In this course, all required assignments may be subject to submission for textual similarity review through the Turnitin.com web site to the instructor, who may then use the tool to check for originality of students' work. All submitted papers will be included as source documents in the Turnitin.com reference database solely for the purpose of detecting plagiarism of such papers. Use of the Turnitin.com service is subject to the Terms and Conditions of Use posted on the Turnitin.com site.
