Navigation Bar - adding and removing tools

The Navigation Bar (Nav bar) is the banner across the top of screen that includes the MSUM banner, name of the course, and links for the various D2L tools. All newly created D2L courses include the same links but the instructor can remove links that won't be used or add links for additional tools.

 

To add or remove a tool from the Nav bar:

• Click on the edit Nav Bar Icon in the Upper Left Nav Bar
  
• The Nav bar is divided into four sections: top left, top right, bottom left, and bottom right.
  
   
• Select the bottom left tab.
   
• Each of the four sections lists the Inactive Links (those not currently being used) and the Current Active Links.
•  To add a link click on it in the Inactive Links and click the right arrow pointing towards the Active links. Make sure it goes into the correct Nav bar section.
• To remove a link click on it in the Current Active Links list and click the arrow pointing to the left, away from the Active list.
• Adjust the right-left location within a section by clicking on the link in the Active links and clicking on the up or down arrow.
