Your D2L site homepage

• lists the courses in which you are currently enrolled

• allows you to change your personal viewing preferences and password

• allows you to create a homepage and profile information that can be accessed within D2L

• lists SYSTEM news messages

Your Course Home displays all the important links and any news (or announcements) for your course.

To enter a course from My Home:

1.     Locate “My Minnesota State University Moorhead Courses” in the middle of the page.

2.     If you can’t see your course(s), click on the “+” sign on the left side on the semester title and then click on the “+” sign on the left side of the department title.

3.     Once the semester and department are expanded, click on your course link. You will be directed to your Course Home.

Once you have entered your Course Home, you will notice the navigation bar now contains many different links that were not visible on the My Home page. For example, you can now access links such as Content, Discussions, Chat, Classlist, Grades and the Dropbox.

All the links on the Course Home are course related links and are specific to the course you are taking. The navigation bar on the top of your screen is your course navigation bar. The course navigation bar will assist you with navigating through the links within your course. It will remain visible through out your course.

News

Upon entering a course, you will see a News section in the middle of the screen.  The News area is a place for your instructor to put any updates, changes and news about your course. Make sure to check the News section on a regular basis.
