Activating Your Course

Each semester a new course will be created for all of your courses. Your students will automatically be enrolled in this course (your developmental course will NOT have students). By default the course is NOT active and students enrolled in your course cannot access it until you make it an Active Course. 

To activate the course: 

  1.  login to Desire2Learn and select your course.

  2.  click on the Edit Course button on the right lower nav bar. 

 

  1. Change the Start Date and End Date if you want to control the availability of the course.  IMPORTANT -- you must ALSO activate the course by selecting the Yes radio button and click on Save Changes

 

  1. You can copy the course components of your developmental course to this course that the students are enrolled in.   Make any new changes and additions to the ACTIVE COURSE.  Course components will be duplicated each time you copy components.
