RESPONDUS 3.5 MnSCU SYSTEM-WIDE LICENSE

 

MnSCU has obtained a system-wide license for Respondus 3.5.
Respondus 3.5 is a Windows application that enhances the capabilities of Desire2Learn's assessment tool.
Respondus 3.5 can be used to create quizzes and work with publisher test banks.

Information about the Respondus 3.5 software and the Respondus Test Bank Network (a free service that allows instructors to download publisher test banks) is available at www.respondus.com.

INSTALLATION INFORMATION

Click on Icon to download Respondus Exe File  >Select Save> Save on your desktop

The file you install from is named "Respondus35Campus.exe". Copy to your desktop. Double-click the filename to start the Respondus installation program. We recommend that you accept the default settings for where the program is installed.

After installing Respondus 3.5, the first time the user opens the application, the user will be asked to enter the name of the institution, the local support contact, and the installation password. The information must be entered EXACTLY as follows:

It's important to note that you are not able to download the software directly from the Respondus website, nor are you able to use the password listed above to activate a copy previously downloaded from their site. If you already have a copy of Respondus 3.5, you can uninstall it and install the latest version obtained from your Campus Site Admin.

MnSCU’s license with Respondus, Inc. does NOT permit instructors to obtain support directly from Respondus, Inc. If our staff is unable to solve a particular question or problem, we will contact Respondus, Inc. on your behalf.

Our license DOES permit you to install a copy of the Respondus 3.5 software on a home computer as well as a work computer. However, please note that you are not permitted to provide the Respondus 3.5 software or the password information to anyone who is not affiliated with a MnSCU school. Such an action is a violation of our licensing agreement with Respondus and is also illegal.

Respondus, Inc. allows faculty at the licensing institution to download patches directly from the Respondus website. Upgrades that require a full installation will be provided to the Administrative Contact for redistribution.

Context-sensitive help is available throughout the software by pressing the F1 key. It is also available by selecting "Help" from the pull-down menu on the toolbar.
