Horizon Wimba is an online webconferencing service that allows you to
enter a "classroom" where you can speak with one another over the
computer (using a microphone and speakers/headphones). It also enables
you to write to one another using text-chat, view PowerPoint slides and
share a whiteboard. In order to participate, you will need a
headset microphone for your computer (which you can purchase for around
$12). At a minimum, you can use a computer microphone and speakers, but
this will diminish the online experience considerably.
