The group presentation and write-up is worth 15% of your final grade.
During the first half of the semester, you and your partner will be
responsible for:
(1) Reading approximately
40 pages of material on your topic;
(2) Writing a summary of
what you read: (30% of presentation grade)
--The 1st Draft of this summary is due one week before your presentation.
--The instructor will approve the 1st draft or give specific instructions
for a re-write;
--If the instructor approves the 1st draft, the summary will be handed
out to the entire class
--If a re-write is necessary, it is due three days before your presentation;
--If the re-write is satisfactory, the instructor will hand it out to the
entire class;
--If the re-write is unsatisfactory, the group will receive a grade no
higher than a "C" for this
portion of the assignment and the instructor will hand out his own notes
to the class.
(3) Giving a 5-minute presentation
of your topic in class (30% of presentation grade)
(4) Leading a 20-minute
class discussion on your topic (40% of presentation grade)
