Biography:
Barry J. Halm, MHA, FACHE has lived and experienced life as a hospital consultant, corporate systems executive, hospital administrator, regional planning agency director and university faculty member. As a System's chief executive officer he led the strategic development of the Benedictine Health System and over seen the acquisition of twenty-one new member facilities in a five year period. BHS is a 63 facility organizaiton composed of hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities and senior housing complexes. As a consultant he facilitated three hospitcal consolidations which respositioned those facilities in competitive markets. As faculty Mr. Halm is the Assistant Professor and Program Director for an undergraduate hospital administration degree program and teaches health related courses such as healthcare law, managing healthcare organizaitons, marketing health services, and healthcare finance.
