Monday, March 4, 2013 – Summer Housing Contracts will be available.
A Contract + $50 prepayment must be completed By Thursday, May 16th 2013 in order to be assigned a room for summer housing.
If you are not contracted for Fall 2013, you must check out of your room by Aug 2nd at 7pm.
If you are enrolled for fall semester AND you have a housing contract for fall, you may stay through the interim (August 3rd – August 20th) by paying an additional 2.5 weeks at the summer housing rate. At the beginning of August you will be notified by Summer Housing Staff when you will move into your fall room assignment.
Students may choose to make payment in full by June 7, 2013 or pay half of total cost by June 7, 2013 and the second half of the installment by July 5, 2013. Payment must be completed (paid in full) by July 8, 2013 in order to move into fall housing. Contact the Financial Aid Office at 218.477.2251 to determine summer financial aid eligibility.
Interim Housing Dates: August 3 — August 20, 2013. Interim housing is available only for those students who have a fall room assignment. All other students must be checked out by 7pm on the last day of their summer school class.
To be eligible for summer housing all previous housing charges must be paid in full and your account must be free of any holds.
Any MSUM student must be enrolled in at least one summer class or registered for classes Fall 2013 to live in summer housing.
The following forms of payment will be accepted: cash, money order, check, and credit card (MasterCard, Visa and Discover).
A $50 administrative fee will be charged for any contract cancellation.
Our billing cycle runs weekly (begins on Saturday and ends on Friday). Therefore, if you check out of your room later than Friday, you will be charged for an additional week. We do not have a daily rate.
Rooms are not air conditioned. Residents may not provide their own air conditioners.
A MicroFridge will be available upon request, pending availability, free of charge. If you would like a MicroFridge, please request it on your summer housing contract. A fee of $25 will be assessed for any MicroFridge that is not defrosted and/or cleaned at check-out time.
To be eligible for John Neumaier summer housing, students must be current residents of John Neumaier and enrolled in a minimum of one summer class, or have an assignment in John Neumaier for the 2013-2014 academic year.
Summer housing check-in begins Friday, June 1, 2013 at 5pm. If you need summer housing accommodations until you are able to check-in to your apartment, you will need to apply/contract to live in Dahl Hall for the interim. Please refer to the Residence Hall—Summer Housing Rates.
John Neumaier summer housing ends on July 31, 2013. If you are not staying with us in the fall, you need to be checked out of your apartment by noon on this day.
Friday, April 26, 2013: For those currently living in John Neumaier: To keep your same John Neumaier Apartment for Summer 2013, your Summer contract + $50 prepayment must be submitted prior to this date.
Monday, April 29, 2013: For those living in John Neumaier in Fall 2013: If you would like to live in a John Neumaier apartment for Summer 2013, your application/contract + $50 prepayment must be submitted during this week.
Summer housing check-in will begin at 5:00 pm on Saturday, May 18, 2013 at the Snarr Desk.
Students seeking Summer Housing but have not applied and prepaid $50, contact the Housing Office immediately to sign up and make a prepayment. To secure a Summer room, a complete application and prepayment is required!
If you are currently living on campus, be sure to have your current room clean and ready for check out by 5pm on Saturday, May 18, 2013. You will receive your keys for summer housing at the Dahl desk, so you can move your belongings and be ready for housing staff to check you out of your current room. Check out must be completed by 5pm on Sunday, May 19, 2013.
Current South Snarr residents enrolled in summer school can continue living in the same room during the summer, in most cases. To help ensure keeping your same room, application/contract & prepayment should be submitted to the Housing Office prior to April 26, 2013.
We will begin making summer room assignments the week of April 29, 2013.
