Fall 2009 Move-In
The MSUM residence halls will open for move-in on August 19th at 9:00am. The Housing and Residential Life staff is very excited to have our residents return for another great year at MSUM! Students should report to the Residence Hall desk in the hall they are assigned to check-in and receive their keys. We have provided a checklist of helpful things to bring, and what not to bring. If you have additional questions, please contact our office at (218) 477-2118 and we will be glad to assist you.
We are also providing a map of the campus with recommended routes to get to the parking lots near your assigned residence hall.
Bed loft rental is available through CSI lofts of Moorhead. Beds may be lofted in Nelson, Grantham, Ballard, and South Snarr. To rent a loft, please visit: http://www.csilofts.com/
We strongly encourage our students to pursue renters insurance. You may arrange for renter's insurance through your own insurance company, or through National Student Services, Inc. MSUM does not insure personal belongings in student rooms. While we hope students will never need to file a renter's insurance claim, it is important to be prepared just in case.
With the exception of East Snarr Hall, all of our mattresses are standard size twin mattresses and standard sheets will fit. East Snarr has extra long twin mattresses. Students in other halls, with the exception of Dahl Hall, may request an extra long mattress on a first come first served basis. Send an e-mail to reslife@mnstate.edu.
