I was diagnosed with relapsing-remitting Multiple Sclerosis in November of 1994. I walk with a noticable limp, even with the aid of a pretty fancy KAFO (Knee-Ankle-Foot Orthotic brace). My only other noticeable symptoms so far are fatigue (I get pretty tired pretty fast), muscle coordination on my right side and the occasional problem with balance. Even though I employ a power wheelchair for jaunts of more than say half a city block in an effort to mitigate the effects of physical fatigue, I am able to fully perform my duties at work. I am pretty lucky to have a "desk job," so my physical limitations do not limit my ability to perform my job.
