UPCOMING CLUB EVENT
Thursday, Sept. 25
11am-2pm: The History Club will be having a fundraiser, Thursday, September 25. We will be grilling hamburgers and hotdogs outside of the Center for the Arts and MacLean Hall between
11:00 am-2:00 pm. Please come visit us for lunch and learn about upcoming History Club events.
You can purchase meal tickets ahead of time from student volunteers in the History Dept.,
(MA 374) between 7:30am-4:00 Monday through Wednesday. Sidewalk sales will also be made,
but when we run out, we run out! Some tickets may be made available in your classes if there is a student volunteer available. The cost is $5 for a hamburger/or hot dog, a bag of chips and a soda.

The History Club and International Programs Presents: Stump the Professor! Dr. Allan Chapman, retired Oxford University Professor of Wadham College, classicist, specialist in the history of astronomy, and Professor in the MSUM Eurospring program in Oxford, will be joining us for a Question and Answer Forum, Thursday, September 25, 2008 at 4 pm in CB 111. Questions about history, astronomy, the United Kingdom, and the Eurospring program are encouraged. Can you stump the Professor?

Welcome to the MSUM History Club! We encourage all students with an interest in History or Social Studies to join the History Club. The meeting dates and times will be announced on this website and via email. Please contact Connie Lillehoff in the History office (lillehof@mnstate.edu or 477-2812) to add your name to the email list (your mnstate.edu email address). The History Club schedules various academic and social events throughout the year. Events in the past have included student vs. faculty softball games and trivia contests, movie nights, and occasional guest speakers.
