Purpose

The Heritage Education Commission is an organization of Minnesota State University Moorhead, developed for the purpose of creating, initiating, and conducting programs and projects which aid in the preservation or restoration of the cultural heritage in the service region of Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Objectives

 To plan, develop and conduct family history workshops as determined by interests of the public.

To develop and maintain a family history collection at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

To explore the feasibility of and subsequently create and initiate other workshops, programs, and projects directed toward the purpose of the Commission.

 To develop, plan, and implement lecture series, displays and exhibits.

 To initiate and facilitate training programs for community leaders in preservation and restoration of our cultural heritage.

To maintain liaison with regional and state organizations in the furtherance of mutual goals.
