What is Wellness Education?

The primary objective of wellness education is to assist in the development and implementation of campus-wide health promotion campaigns designed to prevent health problems among college students by encouraging healthy lifestyles.

Who are We?

As an extension of Hendrix Clinic and Counseling Center and MSUM, health promotion wellness educators develop and implement activities designed to encourage positive lifestyles. Hendrix Wellness Educators attend MSUM and represent a variety of majors. The goals of wellness education are to:

1. Give students a practical work experience in developing and implementing a health promotion effort.
2. Give students training and experience in organizational management and leadership.
3. Develop a student-driven effort to create a healthier campus.
