Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) individuals face challenges within health care systems. Some of these challenges are: 
  • Negative past experiences with providers
  • Fear of negative reactions from providers if they disclose their orientation
  • Providers lack of understanding of risks and issues that are important to LGBT patients


This site provides some basic healthcare information and encourages LGBT individuals to find a healthcare provider where you can be open about who you are so you can get the best healthcare available.
