Health Insurance
Basic Information MnSCU (Minnesota State Colleges & Universities) endorses a reasonably priced, one year non-renewable Student Health Policy underwritten by the Mega Life and Health Insurance Company. Brochures and payment information are available at Hendrix Health Center, the Business Office, and the International Programs office.
Eligibility
All domestic undergraduate students taking 6 or more credit hours, all domestic graduate students taking 3 or more credit hours and domestic post-graduate students taking credit hours are eligible to enroll in the insurance Plan.
Eligible students may also insure their Eligible Dependents. Eligible Dependents are the spouse and unmarried children under 19 years of age; or 23 years, if a full-time dependent student at an accredited institution of higher learning, who are not self supporting. Dependent eligibility expires concurrently with that of the Insured student. NOTE: Eligible Dependents many only use the services of Hendrix Health Center if they are enrolled at MSUM or MSCTC students.
International Students
All international students and their accompanying dependents are required to carry Health Insurance through the MNSCU designated carrier, Mega Life. For coverage and premium information, please contact the MSUM Business Office at (218) 477-2221.
