Where can I access my Minnesota State University Moorhead E-mail?

To Access your MSU Moorhead email account you first need to have internet access. This can be achieved through wireless, campus network, DSL, or modem and phone line. Once you have internet access you can read your email in different ways:

1) Using a Web Browser.
    - Open a Web browser (i.e. Mozilla, Firefox or Internet Explorer) to the MSUM web site (www.mnstate.edu).
   - Click on the email link at the top of the page to get to DragonMail.
   - Enter your username and password and then click Login.

2) Using an IMAP Mail Client (e.g., Mozilla, Thunderbird, Outlook)
Specific commands vary from client to client and version to version. Create a new account for you MSUM email using the following configuration information:
   - For the email address enter your_email_username@mnstate.edu (e.g. smithry@mnstate.edu)
   - For the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: choose IMAP and enter mail.mnstate.edu
   - For the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: enter mail.mnstate.edu
   - For the Account name enter your email username (e.g., smithry)
   - Both the Incoming Server and Outgoing Server must be set to use SSL as a secure connection.
