Unit: Data Analysis & Probability

Goals and Objectives:

Recognize how technology can assist/hinder students’ understanding of:

· Graphical and tabular representation of data including histograms, scatterplots, & box plots

· Select and use appropriate statistical methods to analyze data

· Use simulations to explore variability of sample statistics

Make estimations - then make actual calculations and/or graph

Create a spreadsheet with the following elements utilizing the a conditional statement such as the if command

Identify the perquisites you would require for the following lesson.

Use a spreadsheet to create a bar graph using data you have gathered from real data.

Identify two areas that technology could help and as well as hinder students understanding of data analysis
