B. Very heavy reading load as compared to other MLA course work.

D. I’d recommend adding a literary analysis component to the course if you want students to update effective analysis…not all MLA students have this background.

A. Survey of variety of literature & to some degree, analysis of those readings.
B. Too many pages to read in a critical fashion. Reduce # of readings/pages & focus on those.
C. Instructor is good, would discuss con? on course.

A. Wide breadth of reading.
B. Occassionally discussion were too abtuse-too literature intensive.
C. Yes.
D. Excellent teacher – learned a lot about literary analysis – excellent comments on work submitted-felt he really was interested.

A. Fascinating subject & class discussion. Book chosen were not necessarily “pop” war literature, and I think that was refreshing.
B. It probably just me, but I had a lot of trouble keeping up. Maybe a little to much time spent on WWI.

A. Definitely the instructor, Prof Hamrick is one of the most intelligent & interesting teachers I’ve had. Also the study of war as a whole is ?, especially from a literature P.O.V.
B. More time on Shakespeare more Anti-war specific materials.

C. Yes the class was a lot of work but I enjoyed it & learned a lot.
D. Wished we could have spent more time on each book for greater discussion Stephen always took time to talk with us about the readings ect.
