Graduate Deadlines Extended
The deadlines for submission of the final forms for graduation have been extended as follows:
1. Last day to submit Form 5 to Graduate Office: April 15
2. Last day to submit Form 6 to Graduate Office: April 24
3. Last day for Oral Examination: May 8
4. Last day to submit Thesis/Project to Library: May 29
5. Last day to submit Form 7 to Graduate Office: May 29
We will work with problems on a case-by-case basis. Please call your advisor or call the Graduate Office and we will try to help you as best we can.
Commencement will still be on May 15th as posted on the Graduate Office website.

Spotlight on our Graduate Students ...
The Counseling and Student Affairs students and faculty were actively involved in the North Dakota Counseling Association conference held February 1-3, 2009, in Bismarck, ND.Wes Erwin and Tara Hollenbeck presented the session, “Cognitive Therapy: The Aaron T. Beck Model.” Duane Halbur co-presented the sessions “Super Visions: The Basics of Counselor Supervision” and “Cyber Communication: Our Students are Typing What?”
Two Counseling and Student Affairs students received 2008-2009 Guidance and Counseling Graduate Scholarships from the North Dakota Counseling Association. Anthony Athmann received a $1000.00 scholarship and Dorothy White received an $800.00 scholarship. These scholarships were awarded at an awards ceremony on February 3 at the NDCA conference in Bismarck, ND.
Health Insurance Available for
Graduate and Post-Graduate Students
The Student Senate at Minnesota State University at Moorhead has adopted a policy that allows domestic students (international students are covered under a separate mandatory requirement) to have access to a very affordable health insurance plan if taking three or more graduate credit hours on campus.
The plan is available for purchase through UnitedHealthcare by completing an enrollment form at www.uhcsr.com.

Online coursework is facilitated when professors can quickly and accurately establish communication with enrolled students using 'official' personal inboxes on the mnstate.edu system. Important information, such as financial aid award letters, will be sent exclusively to mnstate.edu accounts starting this spring. As the year progresses, other important information regarding student status will be sent only to this account.
Therefore, it is essential that students access, read and use their mnstate.edu accounts.
Directions to sign up for a new mnstate.edu account are on the MSUM homepage. Simply click on 'email'. Please take personal responsibility to ensure you are informed.
