Graduate Certificate in: Literacy Instruction

Certificate Description

This certificate may be added to either a Bachelor's or Master's degree. Six credits (EECE 613 and 645) from this Certificate program may also apply to the M.S. in Reading degree.

 

Admission Requirements

  1. Baccalaureate degree in Education from a regionally accredited institution with a prerequisite course in methods and materials of teaching reading in elementary, middle, or high school and a prerequisite course in assessment.
  2. Completed Application to Certificate Program form.

 

For those students NOT admitted to the Reading Graduate Program, submit the following in addition to the items above:

  1. Completed Application for Admission to Graduate Study form indicating Graduate Special under "Program Admission Requested".
  2. 2.75 grade point average.
  3. Undergraduate and other transcripts sent directly from the institution to the Graduate Studies Office.
  4. Non-refundable $20.00 fee for first-time applicants to Minnesota State University Moorhead.
