The Dean of Graduate Studies is the academic officer charged with the primary responsibility for promoting, administering, and coordinating graduate education.
The Dean:
- promotes graduate programs in fulfillment of the University's mission
- coordinates graduate programs
- chairs the Graduate Council, the policy advisory body for graduate education
- oversees the development of graduate curriculum
- coordinates graduate admissions and graduation procedures
