English Department Scholarships
The English Department offers ten scholarship awards for academic excellence. Eligible candidates must be majoring in English and maintaining a 3.0 GPA or higher. Applicants should also have at least a sophomore standing. One application is to be submitted for all ten awards; committee members will designate the appropriate award.
Application Procedure
Please submit the following material to the MSUM English Department Scholarship Committee, English Department Main Office, Weld 216 no later than: Friday, March 13, 2009:
- Applications should be submitted electronically with files sent as Word documents.
- Two faculty letters of recommendation. At least one letter must be from faculty in the English Department
- Critical Writing Sample: minimum 5-page paper from a 200 or higher level English course
- Current transcript
