    The Certificate in Professional Writing is designed for students pursuing or holding a bachelor’s degree from MSUM or an equivalent university.

    Objectives

    Students who complete the Certificate in Professional Writing will be able to:

    • write clear, concise, and grammatically correct correspondence that is appropriate for the audience and market.
    • write professional correspondence such as emails, letters, memorandums, progress reports, instructions, proposals, feasibility studies, and webpages.
    • format professional correspondences using the latest software and digital technology necessary for desktop publishing and web design.
    • speak effectively to audiences of various sizes.
