Pre-Professional Skills Test (PPST)
The PPST is a test designed to measure basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics. The test is available in two formats: computer-based and paper-based.
All education majors wishing to be licensed in Minnesota must PASS the PPST.
Students must ATTEMPT (passing not required) all parts of the PPST before registering for 300 and 400 level education and special education courses.
Some Praxis paper-based tests are administered on the MSUM campus. All registrations must be done through the ETS website. Computer-based tests are administered at Prometric Testing in Fargo. Please visit www.ets.org/praxis for a list of Computer-Based and Paper-Based test sites and registration information.
