American Indian Student Association (AISA):
The American Indian Student Association (AISA) promotes cultural awareness by presenting the campus and community with several traditional and contemporary events.  During American Indian Awareness Week (Nov. 12-16 2002), AISA students are the key players in planning many events.  There is ample opportunity for all American Indians students to participate in cultural events as well as being a part of the leadership and planning process.  It is the hope of AISA to give American Indian students the opportunity to become leaders and coordinate events in a traditional manner, while sharing with MSU Moorhead students, faculty and the F-M community, their ancestral heritages.  AISA provides weekly and biweekly meetings.  To continue the success of the American Indian Student Association, we invite EVERYONE to join and participate!

Asian American Association (AAA):
Our mission is to educate our community about Asian American culture and to provide resources for Asian American Students.  Over the past five years, AAA has made a continuous effort to support the Asian American community.  Most of our members are active in other organizations and we welcome anyone who is interested in Asian American culture.  This makes for a very diverse group.

Black Student Alliance (BSA):

  • To foster and maintain an identity with the African American culture and ideals.

  • To be willing and qualified to discuss and share the black experience with other interested persons on and off campus and to be aware of the black contribution to the mainstream of American society.

  • To encourage and assist black students in maintaining acceptable grade point averages.

  • To encourage all black students to complete their degree at Minnesota State University Moorhead.

Organización Latina Americana (OLA):

  • Purpose: O.L.A's goal is to enhance the knowledge of the Latino culture as well as share its richness and diversity. O.L.A aims to unify students, staff/faculty, persons from the F/M community and Latinos as well as other who want to learn more about the culture.

  • Members are active in coordinating events such as the spring Unity Conference, food events, and socials. In the past, O.L.A has sponsored lectures, dances, theatrical presentations, poetry readings, movies, panel discussions, and art exhibits.

  • We are currently meeting on Thursday's @ 8 PM in the CMU room 216. We encourage ANYONE interested in learning or being part of our organization to attend. You can also check postings in the club wall (as you are walking in from the East Side of the CMU) for future meeting date and time.
