  • Credit Transfer and Curriculum

As a transfer student your biggest concern is probably finding out which credits actually transfer to your new school and how close you are to attaining your four-year degree. MSUM makes it easy for CM students to transfer. While there are some required pre-requisite courses that should be taken prior to transfer, most of the required coursework in the CM curriculum is taken during the last two years of class work.

If you know early on that you'll be transferring to MSUM, it's always best to contact an adviser at MSUM for recommended coursework that will maximize your credit transfer.

    Campus Options
CM transfer students have the option of completing their B.S. degree from MSUM at one of these locations:

    1. At MSUM in Moorhead, MN located in the Fargo-Moorhead metropolitan area.
    2. At North Hennepin Community College in Brooklyn Park, MN located in Minneapolis-St. Paul.

    A.A. Degree Transfers

The CM curriculum at MSUM is especially suited for Associate of Arts Degree transfer students. In most cases, A.A. transfers can graduate with only two additional years of coursework, depending on the pre-requisite work completed.
As part of your A.A. degree, you'll want to ensure you've taken:

    • English Composition I & II
    • College Physics I
    • College Physics II, Physical Geology or General Chemistry
    • Microeconomics
    • Speech Communications
    • Pre-Calculus or Applied Calculus

    A.A.S. Degree Transfers
